Yes, non-surgical spinal decompression has an over 90% success rate with symptom reduction.
It's case by case, but we can typically work on patients with fusions, laminectomies or injections
No. Many patients feel a sense of relief and relaxation while receiving the therapy. Check out our YouTube video that shows how it’s performed https://www.youtube.com/c/JDDudum
No, but for older or younger patients, we can change the logistics of the table to make it more gentle. We can always adapt the settings based on a person’s age or condition.
Every patient is different, but you may require 12-20 sessions to get optimal results.
How 3 Common Conditions May Be Helped
Herniated discs:
With this condition, you have the jelly-filled doughnut (the disc or cushion) and through wear and tear and injury, that gel or disc can either fragment or rupture. That disc can enter spaces where the nerves are that it’s not supposed to. The result is that it can cause sharp low back pain, pain in your leg, tingling and numbness.
With non-surgical spinal decompression, we put a patient on the table and specifically target the disc that’s injured. The table gently and safely pulls the discs apart to open up the space between the two bones. This is called a reverse vacuum effect.
Sciatica is an irritation of the sciatic nerve that could be caused by a disc rupture, bulging disc or disc injury. If the doctor determines—through an exam and tests—that spinal decompression may help, here’s how it works: the spinal decompression table will help pull and create space for that disc through intradiscal pressure, which helps take the disc back into its cavity. By doing that, it takes the pressure off the sciatic nerve.
Spinal stenosis:
With this condition, the holes where the nerves come out of are irritated and inflamed. The cause of the stenosis is compression, stress and inflammation. The table would pull apart, decompress and create less stress in the system, and the decompression would relieve a lot of stress off those nerves, alleviating the symptoms.
Testimonials
"For the first time in a long time, I am seeing a good turnaround on my pain. Almost from the moment that Dr. JD asked me how our session went I felt better. I wanted to call him at the end of my day to thank him for helping make me feel better. I look forward to our next session. Thank you for relieving so much of my pain and for taking the time to listen to what my problems were. If I could give a star rating for the visit today it would be 5 Stars in Gold. Thank you!"
